Real Estate Professional Becomes Centerpiece of Local Art Exhibition

PEABODY, Mass. - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Lillian Montalto, of Lillian Montalto Signature Properties is known as one of the North Shore's leading real estate professionals as well as for her involvement and passion for the world of fine art. While Lillian's real estate office is garnished with several pieces from her personal collection, it is no comparison to the 200+ pieces of art they've acquired over 20 years on display in their home. This Collection has been exhibited in 5 other museums (Museum of Art & Design, NYC, Mobile Museum of Art, University of Michigan Museum of Art, Saginaw Museum of Art, Detroit Institute of Art), and this February, Lillian will showcase their endeavors in cultivating a world where woodturning is considered a fine art at the Peabody Essex Museum exhibit, "Audacious:  The Fine Art of Wood from the Montalto Bohlen Collection."

On Saturday, February 21st, this highly anticipated exhibit provided by The East India Marine Associates of the Peabody Essex Museum will be open to the public and reveal over 100 wood pieces from the couple's personal collection. It is their hope that this exhibit will successfully demonstrate the level of talent these artists have that will leave you stunned at the transformation of a simple piece of wood! Lillian's collection will deliver the value of wood as it makes its way to the forefront of contemporary art through exotic woods, surfaces, and texture. Lillian is thrilled to share her passion for fine art while continuing to support the artists who create these exquisite and rather intimate works.
