2014 McGladrey Classic Raises More Than $930,000 for Charities

CHICAGO - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- McGladrey LLP, the nation's leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, and title sponsor of The McGladrey Classic (http://www.mcgladreyclassic.com/), an official event of the PGA TOUR, recently announced that the fifth annual McGladrey Classic raised more than $930,000 for children- and family-focused charitable organizations. This brings the total five-year charitable contribution of the tournament to more than $2.7 million.

Held in conjunction with The McGladrey Classic, the tournament's Birdies Fore Love (http://www.mcgladreyclassic.com/charities/birdiesforelove/) program was launched in 2012.The program encourages individuals to make donations and to guess the number of birdies that will be made during the tournament. Birdies Fore Love is strongly supported by McGladrey. In 2014, the program raised more than $467,000 for charity.

The Foundation's mission is to help build a better future for families and children who are at risk of poor educational, economic, social and health outcomes.
