BURLINGAME, Calif. - Jan. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- If you have the gift of dealing with people and would consider selling  blocks of hotel rooms, meeting space, banquets, and amenities to event planners and travel managers, you have the potential to earn yourself a six figure income.  Not all sales jobs are created equal, and they are not all glamorous or high paying. But hotel sales and catering jobs are as close as it gets to glamor and a good income.

Selling copy machines, cars, and ads are not always glamorous, but if you work with the right hotel, you might enjoy selling beautiful settings, accommodations, and facilties.  Many hotel sales people sell for Marriott, Hilton, Wynhdham, and Holiday Inn.  They may sell for a downtown city center, or possibly a beautiful resort in Hawaii.

Hotel sales is considered a receptive sale where many potential customers want to hear about your hotels accommodations and ameniteis.  Think abou it.  A hotel provides space for weddings, high end tradeshows, it provides accommodations to frequent travelers and to individuals that demand a high level of service.

To start a hotel sales and catering career, you could gain the knowledge to interview with confidence by visiting http://www.aprinda.com

After gaining the knowledge to interview, take a look at hcareers.com for a listing of many hotel sales jobs.

Not all hotel sales jobs are created equal.  Working in a hotel gives you the chance to work in glamorous accommodations.  You might want to work in a city center, resort, beach destination, or the snow.  What  other sales job gives this opportunity plus the chance to earn a six figure income.

If you do not want to pay for an on-line certificate at aprinda, you can also start at the front office and try and work your way up.   Starting at a front desk is a bit slower  than starting at the mid-level management.  Beginning salaries at a hotel front office range from $8.00 to $14.00 an hour.  Many have had success starting at the front office, combining that with an on-line certificate, and then interviewing for a hotel sales position.  This is an effective method because the front desk is a great place to learn the hotels operation, and an online sales course give you the understanding of how to find and land business for the hotel.

Many hotels are glamorous and fun.  Some are not as glamorous.  Just get started, and work your way up to better and higher end hotels earning a six figure salary.  Good luck in your hotel career.
