LOS ANGELES - Dec. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Howdy! If you're reading this, you like myself are an adult with Cerebral Palsy.

Being an adult with CP, I tried to find various information about how aging would affect my CP.

Alas, all I could find was a bunch of websites dedicated to children with CP, but nothing related to adolesecents (teens), adults, and seniors with CP. Nada! Zero! A few scarce PDF documents hidden on a few websites, but nothing truly useful.

I found a few FaceBook groups that were good, but they have the following limitations:

1.) FB controls the group, so all knowledge and information if FB tanks ever like many social media sites have in the past all those users are lost amist. Social media websites are hit-and miss with various demographics.

2.) The FB groups were mostly closed, so anyone using google to discover any information regarding CP as an adult is never found.

3.) Many people tend to post the same topic over and over again, because it's visually disorganized and you can only scroll the group. Those who try to use the group search feature usually end up beating their head in the wall.

4.) FB Groups don't help bring others from various other social media based websites.

5.) What interest does FB have to keep the group afloat? It's not created or built be someone with CP who has something to loose if the information goes away.

I decided to build Cerebral Palsy Forums (http://cerebralpalsyforums.com) to address these concerns.

Because I was searching refrence information regarding being an adult and having CP, a forums based website made sense.

It also made sense to allow the website to be search publicly, that way if someone was embarassed having CP and didn't want to join the individual would still be able to benefit from the infromation.

Last, accessibility! I allow you to become a member via e-mail, FaceBook, Twitter, Google+, and OpenID. If you hate being locked into a FaceBook only scheme, we have options for you!

If you're an adult with CP, and looking to build a community to enrich information on being an adult with CP please come aboard!

This is a community built by an adult with CP for adults with CP!
