LAS VEGAS - Dec. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- The research is complete, and the numbers are astonishing. In the United States, the top 10 states bringing in the most out-of-state residents due to a large supply of jobs and great home values are:

#1- North Dakota with 6% of the current total population being new residents.

#2 - Wyoming with 5.8% of the current total population being new residents.

#3 - Hawaii at 5.5% of the current total population being new residents.

#4 - Alaska at 5.3% of the current total population being new residents.

#5 - Nevada at 5.1 %of the current total population being new residents.

#6 - Colorado at 4.7 %of the current total population being new residents.

#7 - New Hampshire at 4.3% of the current total population being new residents.

#8 - Vermont at 4.3% of the current total population being new residents.

#9 - Delaware at 4.2% of the current total population being new residents.

#10 - Arizona at 4.2% of the current total population being new residents.

To put the above statistics into perspective, Michigan greeted 180,000 new residents, which is only 1.8% of their total population. These 180,000 new residents have a strong potential to be home buyers. "It take two things to draw people inland in big numbers: jobs and housing affordability," said Nela Richardson, chief economist for the real estate broker Redfin.

Due to the the above states being the fastest-growing states in the United States, real estate agents in these states need maximum exposure and a focus on networking. Networking opens up the potential to get more business by having clients referred to them. The current trend may open up a few questions. Who are the people moving to these states? Where are they moving from?

The best way to answer these and other questions is to connect with fellow real estate agents. This will maximize your chances of gaining referrals for people who are looking to relocate to these states. Joining real estate referral networks are another aspect of networking that is beneficial. Facebook groups such as Lori Ballen's Agent 2 Agent Referrals integrates Lori Ballen’s real estate referral network, The All Star Agent Network, into a daily exchange for real estate referrals.

Building Your Network - The following are some of the most common ways to grow your network.

Social Networking -

Search engines do not put a priority on social networking when accounting for external links, but they don’t entirely disregard social networking sites either.  In fact, Google actually gives a slight boost to any websites that are linked to on G+.  Make sure to publicize links to websites on G+, Twitter, and Facebook, at a minimum. This give three easy external links. It is even better if the accounts that are publicized from are not obviously advertising accounts for the website.  Since newer links are rated more highly than older links, it is a good idea to also periodically refresh the external links with social networking sites.

Partnerships

Another useful way to get external links to the site is to find a partner site for cross advertising.  It isn’t a perfect solution because the external links will mostly be coming from a single site, but assuming the other website is high quality and the links are on topic, it will increase the search ranking. Good partnerships would involve other real estate agents that work in a different area, lenders that have worked with in the past, or housing developments that are regularly marketed. Any such agreement will involve backlinks from the website to the partner, so only commit to this with trustworthy websites. A single partnership is good, but if it is possible to do this, form a whole network of partnerships, this will significantly improve the benefit from external links. Do not engage in link trading using a massive tool. Google will penalize sites that engage in artificial link building.

Lori Ballen, a known internet marketer and owner of The Ballen Group, will close about 60 Units in 2014 that came DIRECTLY from real estate agent referrals. For us, in Las Vegas, that means about $12,000,000 in real estate sales volume closed and about $167,000 pocketed GCI after paying the referring agent.

With such a high rate of new residents moving to North Dakota, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, Nevada, Colorado, New Hampshire, Vermont, Delaware, and Arizona real estate agents in these states should look into getting the most exposure possible to catch real estate referrals for the cities they serve.

The All Star Agent Network was started by Lori Ballen. Lori and her husband Richard own a top producing Las Vegas real estate company known as The Ballen Group. It was through her company’s real estate referral frustrations that inspired Lori to create the All Star Agent Network. Lori wanted to provide her team as well as real estate agents from across the United States.

The All Star Agent Network began featuring agents this year. The featured All Star receives a highlighted profile and will always be first to be suggested.  Being first seen, highlighted, and featured on the city page greatly increases the chance of being chosen for a real estate referral or by a real estate client.
