Snell & Wilmer Partner Rick McNeil Elected to Chair Environmental Law Section of OCBA

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Dec. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Orange County partner Rick McNeil has been elected to serve as chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association. He will begin a one-year term as chair elect on January 1, 2015 followed by a one-year term as chair beginning January 1, 2016.

The Environmental Law Section of Orange County Bar Association provides attorneys with programs geared toward the toxic and environmental concerns of government and businesses in meeting their responsibilities to the environment and society.

McNeil has over 25 years of experience representing businesses in the defense, aerospace, chemical, energy, waste disposal, manufacturing, food processing, printing, dry cleaning, real estate development and other industries against environmental claims. He has litigated environmental cost recovery (including CERCLA), CEQA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA and state common law actions, as well as toxic tort cases, environmental insurance actions and environmental criminal matters. McNeil has defended parties in cases involving federal Superfund sites, groundwater contamination, product liability and Proposition 65. He also counsels clients in air quality, energy, climate change, water quality and hazardous waste compliance.

McNeil is a member of the American Law Institute, the Litigation and Environment, Energy and Resources Sections of the American Bar Association, the Litigation and Environmental Law Sections of the California State Bar and the Environmental Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association.
