Byrobot Drone Fighter Debut at CES

Fly Solo or Engage in Multi-Drone Combat via Infrared Transmitters. Auto Land Technology Prevents Drone Fighter from Crashing
By: Byrobot
LOS ANGELES - Dec. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- BYROBOT, a leading developer and manufacturer of flying robots, will debut the Drone Fighter at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Drone Fighter is a fast and agile remote controlled flying quadcopter that can be enjoyed on its own or in drone-to-drone combat using infrared transmitters.  The Drone Fighter (SRP $119.99) will be available for testing and media reviews at Westgate #45026.

One of the Drone Fighter’s most innovative features is its ability to interact with other Drone Fighters in combat by using infrared transmitters/receivers. The Drone Fighter uses a powerful infrared signal to fire at other Drone Fighters. When a Drone is “hit” its LED’s flash and the hand controller vibrates. If a Drone receives six hits it’s defeated and a new combat mission begins. The Drone Fighter is also equipped with shields, bombs, accumulating totals and other features that add to the thrill of battle. Other combat features include: the enemy’s remote control vibrates when it strikes another drone; the enemy remote controller emits a sound when it strikes another drone; the enemy’s remote controller will indicate its current power level (each “hit” results in diminished power); 6 strikes reduces the Drones power; after 6 strikes the Drone lands automatically.

The Drone Fighter has 4 stickers that can be switched any time to change its color (red, blue, black or yellow) and 40 LED lights.  The Drone Fighter is also equipped with Auto Land Technology that prevents it from crashing when it’s shot down.

The Drone Fighter, which uses Zigbee wireless technology, uses a traditional style remote control that offers various skill levels ranging from beginner mode to expert mode.  The remote control is compatible with a downloadable Windows application that serves as both a flight simulator and trainer as well as a means to update the controller firmware (BYROBOT publishes new firmware updates/upgrades each month) via micro USB port.

BYROBOT also offers ultra small HD Camera for the Drone Fighter (sold separately). The HD camera has the capability to take HD movies ad pictures that can be saved to an SD card.
