Follow on Google News | Healing and Comfort Offered for People Going Through DivorceAccording to the DivorceCare materials, “DivorceCare is a network of thousands of divorce recovery support groups meeting worldwide with the goal of helping divorced people find help for their hurts, discover hope for their future and experience healing.” Each week participants will watch a video that features in-depth interviews with experts on divorce and recovery, then engage in small group discussion. Going through divorce is a painful process for everyone concerned. Their whole life has been turned upside down. Where there was once a sense of family, they are now single - either alone or single parenting. Finances have changed, friendships have changed, and no one seems to understand. Healing and comfort is available through DivorceCare. Participants will learn they are not alone. They will become part of a support group where they not only receive support but learn they are able to give it as well. DivorceCare facilitators understand what participants are going through, because they’ve been there. Participants will find DivorceCare to be a warm and encouraging environment with people who not only understand how they feel, but will show them how to deal with the hurt caused by their separation or divorce. The next session of DivorceCare will be held on Thursday evenings and will begin January 8 at the offices of Brookwood Community Church in Shakopee.
