TYRONE, Pa. - Dec. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Twenty-five students in the Altoona High School Band will perform at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone, a senior living community, on Monday, December 22.

The following day, the Tyrone Mennonite Choir will entertain the senior residents as the Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone’s month-long celebration of the holiday season continues.

“Music is such a big part of the Christmas spirit,” said Vienna Rice, Activities Coordinator at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. “We have been privileged to welcome a number of great musicians, bands and choirs this month. Our residents, their families and our staff have really enjoyed the performances.”

The Altoona High School Band will perform at 1:30 p.m. on December 22. The Tyrone Mennonite Choir will perform at 7 p.m. on December 23.

Previously, Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone residents were entertained by the Tyrone Jazz Band on December 10, and approximately 50 students at St. Matthews Elementary School sang Christmas Carols on Dec. 16.

Matthew Bonsell of CLC Charter School in State College had an interactive program in which residents made Origami on December 9.

“It’s so rewarding to see the smiles and feel the appreciation our residents and their families have during these holiday events held at this special time of the year,” Rice said.
