In a letter addressed to Satya Brahma, Chairman & Editor-In-Chief, Pharmaleaders Group, the department of Pharmaceuticals headed by the Chemicals & Fertilizers Ministry, Ananth Kumar said “I am pleased to see the rising voices of the healthcare fraternity to make india as a preferred destination of investment for manufacturing quality drugs at affordable prices. At a time when we are passing through a critical stage in the healthcare sector, I would like to reiterate to the members of the medical profession & pharmaceutical Induistrty that the Government is committed to roll out reforms to boost our domestic Pharma sector. As you are aware that  india is expected to rank amongst the top three pharmaceutical markets in terms of incremental growth by 2020 & India is the sixth largest market globally in terms of size, India’s generic drugs account for 20% of global exports in terms of volume, making the country the largest provider of generic medicines globally. This is a historic opportunity for you to invest india & deliver quality medicines to the every nook & corner of the country.”

While  Complimenting  the initiatives of the Pharmaleaders Media which is hosting the historic 7th Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit & Pharmaleaders Business Leadership Awards 2014.  Ananth Kumar  mentioned  that “Satya Brahma, Chairman & Editor-In-Chief of Pharmaleaders Group is supporting the initiatives of the Government’s vibrant Policy Reforms in the Healthcare Sector. The Minister went on to say that  “as one of the recently industrialized nations, India has a fast-growing economy as well as an ever-expanding, ever-urbanized population, however its healthcare system still has a lot of potential for development. India’s drug industry to touch $48 billion by 2018 Industry may see growth on back of patent expiry of some blockbuster drugs in US and local demand. India’s drugs and pharmaceuticals industry is likely to post total sales of Rs.2.91 trillion ($47.88 billion) by 2018, with an average yearly growth of at least 14%, aided by a rapidly growing domestic market and the newly emerging export opportunity as patents of at least a dozen blockbuster drugs in the US expire in the next three years. “During 2014-2016, about $92 billion worth patented drugs are expected to go off patent in the US as compared with $65 billion during 2010-12, as per the research study by Pharmaleaders.”.  In a inspiring worded message, Anant Kumar said “I take this opportunity to use Pharmaleaders Plattform to convey a very strong message. India needs flexible healthcare reforms to boost india’s pride in global healthcare map & lets partner with Make in India Campaign to make substantially reduce the chronic diseases through affordable healthcare with quality medicines!. Addressing the media, Satya Brahma, the chairman of the Pharmaleaders 2014 meet said “the vibrant Indian pharmaceutical sector growing at a rapid pace will get a bigger boost with the message from the Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers as India’s crucial concerns in the area of regulatory hurdles, pricing issues, Foreign Direct Investments, Labour Reforms & host of other challenges is set to make a complete makeover in coming days looking at the positive initiatives of the central government & is likely to attract foreign players in india to invest in manufacturing”. India stand poised to be a bigger force in  the world with the proactive approach of the new Modi Government at the centre & attain a super power status in healthcare & pharmaceuticals.”

The Award ceremony is scheduled at 07.00 PM on 26th December 2014 onwards at the Grand Jade Room of Hotel sahara Star, Mumbai, India. Like every year, this will be attended by more than 300 power packed Healthcare Leaders in all disciple in the glittering award night followed by cocktail & Dinner.
