Local nonprofit onbikes to Donate 500 Bikes to Eckerd Foster Children this Holiday SeasonN

Dec. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Tampa-based non-profit organization onbikes is partnering with Eckerd Community Alternatives to donate 500 new bicycles and helmets to children in foster care in the Tampa Bay area.  The mission of onbikes is to restore the self-confidence, health and overall well-being of at-risk children in the community by providing these children with bicycles. onbikes presents an annual Winter Wonder Ride, now in its fourth year, in Tampa to raise money to purchase the bicycles and helmets.  The 2014 Winter Wonder Ride took place December 13 and more than 1,000 riders participated.

The donated bicycles will be distributed to foster families at a series of events this weekend.
