SAN FRANCISCO -

PRLog -- While tens of thousands of individuals and businesses went without power during the storm that plagued northern California last week, the HOSTING San Francisco data center weathered the storm to operate at full power with no interruption. In anticipation of the storm, the data center management team followed a rigorous testing protocol that includes power, generators, cooling systems, building security and called on a full staff to ride out the weather.
“Our priority is making sure our customers’ systems and infrastructure are maintained and operation is uninterrupted,”
says, Tim Piastrelli, Vice President of Infrastructure and Security at Nitro, a San Francisco-based software company and HOSTING customer. “While the financial district and residences in San Francisco suffered without power, the precautionary measures that HOSTING took to ensure full power protected the mission-critical applications we host at their data center.”
