ALLIANT HEALTH PLANS NAMES MARK MIXER AS COO

DALTON, GEORGIA - Effective immediately, Alliant Health Plans has elevated Mark Mixer to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mixer will be responsible for the ensuring operational excellence across the company and will immediately assume responsibility for all operational aspects of the health plan. Mr. Mixer has over 30 years experience in the insurance, benefits and managed care arena. “We have the highest degree of confidence that Mark’s leadership will further expand Alliant’s record of service, experience and continued growth,” said Jeff Myers, Health One Alliance - Board Operating Committee.

Alliant Health Plans was founded by Healthcare providers as a licensed Provider Sponsored Health Care Corporation (PSHCC). As a not-for-profit company, Alliant’s purpose is to improve healthcare for their policyholders. They accomplish this by including physicians, as well as community leaders, on the board of directors where they determine how best to deliver care to the community served.

Most recently, Mr. Mixer was a Vice President at Alliant Health Plans. Under his leadership, Alliant Health Plans will strive to improve healthcare operations, administration and member service.

Prior to joining Alliant, Mark was a consultant on health and welfare for Aon Consulting. He was responsible for consulting with large companies to mitigate healthcare costs and improve employees health. Prior to Aon, he was the Executive Director of several health plans in Georgia.
