Hill & Partners’ Mark Holme Honored as 2014 EDPA Designer of the Year

WEYMOUTH, Mass. - Dec. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Weymouth, MA (December 16, 2014) – Hill & Partners is proud to announce its Creative Director, Mark Holme, has been awarded the prestigious recognition of 2014 Designer of the Year by the Exhibit Designer and Producers Association (EDPA).

Founded in 1954, the EDPA is an internationally recognized trade organization with more than 400 corporate members from 18 countries that are engaged in the design, manufacture, transport, installation and service of displays and exhibits primarily for the exhibition and event industry. The EDPA’s Designer of the Year award acknowledges a designer who works diligently to enhance the professional standards of exhibit designers, contributes their talents, creativity and personal time to bring innovation to exhibit design.

Over his 25+ year career in the design industry, Holme has masterfully blended his passion for building and fabrication with his formal design and arts training. As an accomplished artist and sculpture, Holme understands first-hand the importance of mentorship and development, and the critical role they play in creative design. In addition to leading Hill & Partners’ design team, Holme founded the Seekonk Artist Network, which brings artist together and infuses art into the community.

Throughout his career, Holme has been heavily involved with student tutoring and mentorship with the EDPA and FIT, colleague portfolio reviews in the Boston area and collaborative creative development relationships. Holme sits on Hill & Partners’ leadership group, conducts guest lectures for the design department at his alma mater, UMass Dartmouth, and has had a rewarding influence on the careers of countless aspiring designers.

Holme takes home the EDPA’s Designer of the Year award shortly after the EDPA resurrected its Northeast Regional Chapter, which Hill & Partners’ Matthew Johnson is acting Chapter Treasurer.
