Dead Birds or Avian Blues was published by Fly By Night Press (2011). Last July he created, adapted and directed a hybrid poetic performance work, Walt Whitman Opera, with music by Constance Cooper for the undergroundzero festival. He has written epic plays about Freud (Cocaine Dreams), Walter Benjamin (On the Border), Sartre, Camus, De Beauvoir (Living With History), Ted Bundy (Poetry Class With Serial Killer) and other cultural icons. George Spencer is a writer, film producer and director, and visual artist presently working on a large installation combining found objects, reconfigured furniture, soft sculpture, sound, video and lighting. He is a Director of Millennium Film Workshop. His most recent book of poetry, Unpious Pilgrim, was published by Fly by Night Press/Gathering of the Tribes. End
