Follow on Google News | Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative to Host Annual FIRST NIGHT Event on Dec 31By: PR-BS, Inc In the Most Fun Small Town - Delray Beach December 31 Event in Delray Begins at 4 pm (Delray Beach, FL - December 15, 2014) First Night is for Fun and Delray Beach proves it again by throwing the best family friendly party in South Florida. From toddlers to teens, First Night 2015 offers fun and games for the whole family on New Year’s Eve. Little kids can romp in the Toddler Play Center or ride the kiddie train. Teens will love the inflatable AirBots, Zorbs or Wrecking Ball activities. Parents can relive their misspent youth in the Vintage Game Room featuring pinball, video games and board games, all backed with an 80’s soundtrack. All-time favorites such as the Celebration Crowns, the ping pong ball drop and fireworks will be back this year. "We’re combining old favorites with fun new activities. I, personally, will be hanging out in the Vintage Game Room at the Vintage Gymnasium at Delray Beach Center for the Arts” said Stephanie Immelman, executive director of the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative (DBMC), which produces First Night.“ The First Night 2015 New Year’s Eve party begins at 4 p.m. and runs until midnight and includes fireworks and the traditional First Night ping-pong ball drop at 9 p.m. for kids and fireworks at midnight for those who want to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. First Night wouldn’t be complete without live entertainment, found throughout the night at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts Outdoor Pavilion. The music starts with acoustic duo Regi & Kimi from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by Brendan O’Hara from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. At 9 p.m., the Florida funk band Fusik takes the stage. There will also be an all-night dance party at the Delray Beach Tennis Center stadium, Family Cirque style entertainment will take place at the Crest Theatre and renowned vocalist Eric Biddines will perform with Kendra Williams at Worthing Park on Atlantic Avenue. Support the arts in Delray Beach with the purchase of First Night buttons, which provide unlimited access to most activities. Buttons are $10 in advance and $15 on Dec. 31.
