Roberta A. Grimes, JD, CFP, is a business attorney and financial planner licensed in three states who practices primarily in Massachusetts but has lived in Austin for the past six years in order to be close to her grandchildren. She had an extraordinary spiritual experience as a child which launched her on what she describes as a fascinating and all-consuming hobby: she spent the next half-century trying to understand the greater reality. Her best source of information was a vast body of afterlife-related evidence, much of which is at least a century old and is largely ignored today. Over the course of five decades, Roberta eventually figured out what had happened to her when she was eight, and far beyond that, she was able to piece together so many details about death and the afterlife that in 2010 she published The Fun of Dying – Find Out What Really Happens Next!, which is the first book in a planned trilogy. The Fun of Staying In Touch is due in 2012 and will focus on afterlife communications; The Fun of Growing Forever, scheduled for 2014, will address spiritual growth and what the evidence reveals about the meaning and purpose of our lives. To provide a go-to resource on all these subjects, Roberta recently helped launch Afterlife Forums, which is a rapidly-growing information and discussion site. Married for 39 years, she is the mother of three grown children and a doting grandmother to four youngsters who range in age from one through nine.
