Marabu Announces Improved Formulas in ClearShield Line of Laminates

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Dec. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Marabu North America announces it has improved the formulas of the ClearShield line of liquid coatings while simplifying the offerings for a more user friendly experience.

The reformulation of the ClearShield line is a proactive effort with the goal of making the products safer for customers and the environment while maintaining the well-established protection and performance that ClearShield has become known for. The material removed from the formulations is N-Methyl-2-Pyroolidone (NMP). Though not banned, NMP is being phased out across Europe due to a classification by REACH as a “substance of very high concern.”

The company also took the opportunity during the relaunch to simplify the line making the offerings more user friendly for customers and end users. The user chart below shows the former and current products:
