The Junior League Of Philadelphia, Inc. Hosts Model Call For The American Girl Fashion Show®

 
ARDMORE, Pa. - Dec. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The Junior League of Philadelphia, Inc. invites local girls to attend their American Girl Fashion Show® Model Call on January 10, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dunwoody Village, 3500 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square. The League is seeking girls sizes 6X (46” to 48” tall) and 10 (54” to 56” tall) who are interested in participating in  an American Girl Fashion Show® on March 7 and 8 at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern. Size 6X girls will model Bitty Baby® clothing and size 10 girls will model American Girl historical and contemporary clothing. All girls interested in modeling in the American Girl Fashion Show® must attend the Model Call. Appointments are not necessary.

The Junior League of Philadelphia, Inc. requests that girls interested in attending the American Girl Fashion Show® Model Call visit http://www.jlphiladelphia.org/?nd=home find the Model Call application and more information. All completed model applications and application fees will be due at the Model Call. The application fee is $20 for JLP members and $30 for non-JLP members. The fee must be paid by cash or credit card only. The League will not accept any applications outside of the Model Call.

The 2015 American Girl Fashion Show® will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sunday, March 8 at 11 a.m. This fun and engaging program showcases historical and contemporary fashions for girls and their dolls. Lively commentary, accompanying music, and complementary decorations will create a memorable experience for girls and their families.

Funds raised through the American Girl Fashion Show®benefit the League’s Apple a Day Healthy Living Initiative™. The Apple a Day Healthy Living Initiative™ is a multi-tiered community initiative with the goal of creating a positive impact on the health and wellness of adults and children in the Greater Philadelphia area. Currently, over 17 million children are food insecure, and nearly one in three children in our region live in poverty not knowing when or where they will eat their next nutritious meal. The Apple a Day Healthy Living Initiative™ is the Junior League of Philadelphia’s response to this alarming community need.
