SEVENOAKS, U.K. - Dec. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The day was timed to coincide with Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, a great fun annual event where everyone dons festive jumpers to raise money for charity.

At Rainbow, every member of staff who kitted themselves out in a jovial jumper or Yuletide attire, saw a donation made by the company. The response was tremendous with the entire team getting involved. From silly sweaters to crackers, reindeer, Santas and snowmen costumes, the office was awash with Christmas cheer and goodwill. To further boost funds raised, the company staged a sales drive, and for every new business appointment booked, another donation was made.

Last year Rainbow raised £700 for Save the Children in a similar event. This year the total was well and truly beaten thanks to the generosity of customers and suppliers who also dug deep and made donations on the day.

Life Saving Treatment for Kent 7-Year Old Frankie Rose

This year the funds raised are to be split between Save the Children and another cause, that of 7-year old Frankie Rose. Frankie was diagnosed with brain and spinal tumours in August this year. She endured 10 weeks of gruelling chemotherapy, only to learn that the tumour had tripled in size. The only hope for Frankie was proton therapy, only available in the USA.

The cost to get her there, and pay for the treatment, was £160,000. A fundraising campaign ensued and the target was exceeded. Frankie and her family are now in Oklahoma while she undergoes the treatment and additional funds raised will go towards keeping her as comfortable as possible during her recovery.

Managing director Dave Corgat said, “Massive thanks to all who donated and a big well done to everyone who took part. The work effort was terrific. I hope this gesture will go some way towards helping young Frankie and her family together with Save the Children.”
