Bay Area Storms and Hardwood Floors

The storm we experienced here in the Bay Area this past week was one of the worst we have seen in decades. So it is important to know how to keep your hardwood safe. Precision Flooring has advice for how to do just that. “You will want to keep a few things in mind when the rainy seasons comes and how to keep your hardwood floors safe. Because as we know hardwood and rain DO NOT MIX.”  Owner Donnie Gupton said.  First thing is look at your vents, making sure your vents have excellent cross ventilation. Because if you have moisture and it’s gone under your house it can puddle under your house. But if you have great cross ventilation, the water will never reach your sub floor. Check your gutters as well, make sure the water is flowing away from your home. Hardwood floor will cup up through the sub floor and onto your hardwood floor. So when the rain and storms come your way make sure you and your house is prepared to keep your hardwood floors safe. Please click the link below to see the video.
