Second Gathering for Peace Happening in Tupelo, MS

TUPELO, Miss. - Dec. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- On December 16th, congregations, politicians, community experts, pastors, and those desiring revival in their hearts and in their city will gather together to seek peace and reconciliation at First Baptist Church Tupelo. This night will be a journey of prayer, worship and unifying the city to be of one mind and spirit in order to see Tupelo revived! The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome.

Breakthrough is coming to Tupelo, and proof of this was evident last month at the first Gathering for Peace on November 23, 2014, as hundreds gathered for a night of prayer and worship at Temple of Compassion and Deliverance Church. A strong message of peace, love, and unity between varying races, denominations, and people groups was delivered by speakers such as Trent Kelly - District Attorney, Nettie Davis - City Councilwoman for Ward 4, Kyle Lance Martin - Founder/CEO of Time to Revive, Sr. Bishop Clarence L. Parks - Temple of Compassion and Deliverance, Pastor David Ball - Anchor Church and Rev. Chris Traylor, President - Lee County NAACP.

reviveTUPELO began when two local women journeyed from Tupelo to Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN to be a part of a week-long outreach where 6,000+ people and 200+ local churches came together to share the love of Jesus for a week in July, 2014. Those efforts not only impacted that city but have rippled across the nation and into Tupelo. This is where the Lord prompted these ladies to invite Time to Revive to come encourage and equip the Body of Christ in Tupelo by modeling and teaching how to share Jesus, while bringing unity to the Church of Tupelo.

reviveTUPELO will kick-off its mission in February 2015 with a week-long, intensive prayer mission trip where the local church and missionaries from around the country will come to pray for revival in Tupelo. This trip will be followed by five months of training for individuals and local churches who desire to see change. Then in August, reviveTUPELO will be ready for its outreach mission week, where hundreds and possibly thousands will come in love to share Jesus Christ on the streets of Tupelo.

Dallas-based Time to Revive began with the 2007 Dallas Revival and has since ignited eleven other city awakenings:  Revive Santa Fe (NM), Awaken the Valley (Sedona, AZ), reviveFLINT (MI), reviveASHEVILLE (NC), reviveSEATTLE (WA), reviveDEVILS LAKE (ND), reviveRICHMOND (CA), reviveCOLUMBIA (SC), reviveTWIN CITIES (MN), reviveINDIANA (IN) and reviveTUPELO (MS).
