MAYNARD, Mass. - Dec. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- The Virtual High School (http://www.theVirtualHighSchool.org), a non-profit empowering schools with the industry’s best online learning programs, today announced that more than 50 educators from 30 independent schools gathered at Cary Academy last Tuesday to address a common problem in educational circles today; how to incorporate online and blended learning into their school and curriculum.

In a collaboration with The Virtual High School (VHS), Cary Academy and VISnet (Virtual Independent School Network), The Perfect Blend featured an entire day of educational seminars for administrators and educators. Topics included everything from how to train and evaluate blended and online teachers to creating online-centric curriculum.

“Many schools want to incorporate engaging digital offerings, but are unsure how to initiate the process or what options are available to them,” said Jeffery A. Elliott, President & CEO of VHS. “This workshop provided informative sessions and professional development that will help these schools integrate new online and blended offerings.”

VHS’ mission is to provide students with access to high quality online and blended learning experiences, while supporting educators with the professional development and services they need in order to provide an effective 21st century education to every student. VHS partner schools have access to a wide range of core, elective, and AP® courses that inspire, ignite and deepen learning as well as enable students to develop independent learning skills, explore college majors and careers, earn credits and participate in global classrooms. Courses are taught by highly qualified teachers who are specially trained in online teaching best practices, and are certified in their subject areas.
