Smith Douglas Homes Teams Up With Toys for Tots

ATLANTA - Dec. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Metro Atlanta residents can join homebuilder Smith Douglas Homes in giving back this holiday season by donating new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. The builder’s corporate headquarters, which is located on Highway 92 in Woodstock, is an official drop-off location for the charity. In addition, donations can be dropped off at any of the builder’s more than 30 metro Atlanta communities. Only a limited time remains for toys to be donated, as all donations must be received by Friday, Dec. 19, 2014.

After donation boxes are filled with toys, they will be sorted by age and gender and taken to an official Toys for Tots holding location. The toys are then distributed to needy children in the local community with the help of local welfare agencies, churches and other agencies.

Started by the United States Marine Corps, Toys for Tots provides toys to homeless or less fortunate children in local communities throughout the United States. Campaigns take place in more than 700 locations throughout all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
