Black Rose Spiritual Center’s Garden of Giving Program A Success!

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Dec. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- “We could not be more thrilled with the results.  We have been able to literally raise from seed over 1,500 pounds of fresh produce for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank in just two growing seasons.  Fresh food is so important and in today’s economy, more and more families need help getting quality food for their table.  We are really looking forward to the results we can produce with a larger garden plot.”  Dr. Nikki Judge, Executive Director for Black Rose Spiritual Center, shared the success of their program.

“Now that we are in the process of obtaining our permanent location we are very excited to see how much more food we can put in to the system with a larger garden plot and a real greenhouse.  We have been able to produce what we have donated from borrowed space in a neighbor’s garden, and three small 4x8 plots.  It’s exciting to think that we will be able to provide thousands of pounds of fresh, wholesome produce a year to our local community.”

Black Rose Spiritual Center is in the process of purchasing a permanent location for the organization.  One of the first orders of business is to put in a community garden to provide food to the local community via the food bank system.  Fresh vegetables, grown from seed and tended by volunteers, harvested at the peak of freshness, will be delivered to the local food bank the same day ensuring the best quality possible.

“We are asking for donations so that we can get the equipment, tools and supplies we need to create a garden from scratch so we need everything from garden soil to fencing and seeds to basic supplies.  We have done everything we can to make it as easy as possible for folks to donate to help us with our garden needs.  Our Garden of Giving GoFundMe page,  www.GoFundMe.com/Garden,makes donating to the project easy!”

Currently located in Bozeman, Montana, Black Rose Spiritual Center is a 501-c-3  non-profit dedicated to promoting tolerance and understanding among belief systems.  As part of its community interface program the Garden of Giving is part of the organization’s way to help those in need.  Donations made to the organization are tax deductible.
