Yield Crowd Expands with Venture for America

MIAMI - Dec. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Yield Crowd (www.YieldCrowd.com) a marketplace lending platform for alternative, asset-based investments, announces the addition of Ari Fine as Chief Operating Officer. Fine comes to Yield Crowd from Venture for America’s (VFA) first class of Miami fellows.

VFA is a selective two-year fellowship that matches talented recent graduates with promising startups in cities across the country. The VFA program is built on the idea that our country and our communities will be better served by diverting some percentage of our best and brightest young people from Wall Street banks or global consulting firms to entrepreneurship opportunities. Fellows spend time in the trenches of a start-up with the goal that they will become mobilized as entrepreneurs moving forward. VFA Fellows are currently working at partner companies in 12 different cities.

The Knight Foundation brought VFA to Miami. Fine, a recent graduate from Cornell University, was introduced to Yield Crowd through this partnership.

As COO, Ari manages the direction of the company’s marketing and growth efforts.  Ari leads the development and management of the website and lending platform in terms of copy, functionality, and user experience. In addition, Ari is responsible for investor presentations, company showcases, and speaking engagements. He also assists in organizational communication and project management tools for the Yield Crowd team.
