Quassy Finalist For 'Park Of The Year' Honors

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. - Dec. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- ORLANDO, Fla.  – Quassy Amusement & Waterpark, Middlebury, Conn., is a national finalist to be named “Park Of The Year” by theme park Web site Behind The Thrills, poll organizers announced today.

 The fifth annual “Thrill Weekly Awards” is now under way to name the “Best Of” for 2014 in the amusement industry.

  This week’s poll gives fans the chance to voice their opinion and vote for what they believe is the “Park of the Year” in the United States.

 Over the last several weeks, polls have been hosted to name the top parks in each of four regions across the nation. From each region, the top two properties have been selected to move on to the finals.

 Quassy made the cut in what Behind The Thrills called a “shocking twist,” beating out much larger properties such as Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Va.; Kings Dominion, Doswell, Va.; and a number of Six Flags parks in the East.

 “We’re certainly excited that our fan base stepped up with such huge support,” Quassy’s George Frantzis said of the ranking. “Just to be a finalist among these other elite properties is an enormous accolade in itself.”

 The finals feature a total of eight parks across the nation with polling open around the clock until 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 14.
