The Salvation Army and PODS® of Houston begin transporting gifts for Angel Tree Christmas Program

HOUSTON - Dec. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- On Tuesday, Dec. 16,The Salvation Army Greater Houston Area Command and PODS of Houston, will begin the massive undertaking of filling PODS containers with thousands of gifts in preparation for Christmas distribution next week for over 27,000 local children and seniors at Santa’s Secret Warehouse. Ten PODS containers will serve as the official “Santa’s Sleigh” for The Salvation Army, where dozens of volunteers will be on hand to load Christmas gifts inside. The Angel Tree Christmas Assistance program registers local children and seniors across Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties to receive new, unwrapped gifts in time for their families to wrap and personalize before Christmas Eve.  PODS of Houston sponsors the Angel Tree program by transporting these Christmas gifts in the PODS containers (Santa’s Sleigh) for The Salvation Army Greater Houston Area Command at no cost.

WHY: The Angel Tree Christmas Assistance program registers local children and seniors across Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties to receive new, unwrapped gifts in time for their families to wrap and personalize before Christmas Eve.  PODS of Houston sponsors the Angel Tree program by transporting these Christmas gifts for The Salvation Army Greater Houston Area Command at no cost.
