ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Dec. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Flowers for Anaphylaxis, an all-volunteer grassroots outreach effort offering condolences to families who have lost loved ones to food induced anaphylaxis announced today that a formal committee has been selected to plan awareness legacy events for the 2nd annual Worldwide Love Remembers Day set for the last weekend of March 2015.   Aleasa M. Word, CLC, CEIC, founder of the program and an advocate /educator in the food allergic community notes “When loved ones are lost as a result of food allergies, it’s insulting that they become newsworthy one day and forgotten the next.  Families should not be left behind as former members of the food allergic community especially when they both want and deserve a chance to continue making a difference in honor of their loved ones by working to save lives of others.”  Word plans to push forward the food allergy awareness mission through this annual stand-alone awareness weekend filled with multiple events in remembrance of those who lost their battle with food allergic disease.

Ms. Word has enlisted the help of top advocates and organizations known in the food allergic community to have a large voice and an even larger reach to continue awareness as to the severity of life threatening food allergies affecting 15 million Americans wherein 5.9 million are children.  The planning group also includes professionals in the area of social media and web tv.  Word said  “To try this effort alone going forward would be fruitless and this year we are employing the assistance of families who have been through loss as well as thought leaders in the world of food allergy.”  She goes on further to say “2014 was an inaugural year for this event and now the foundation has been laid to make sure the legacy of those lost does not go unnoticed and instead provide a platform to show their deaths and the continuing research is not in vain.”  Individuals slated to make this event a worldwide success include Georgina Cornago Cipriano, founder of  The Love for Giovanni Foundation;   Caroline Moassessi of the highly acclaimed blog ‘Gratefulfoodie’ ;   Erica Horvath Andert , Advocate/Leader Michiana Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Support Group;  Marie Roker-Jones, founder of  Raising Great Men, an Professional Intrinsic Coach and Social Media Strategist; Julie Mortimer, Food Allergy Advocate and Charity Development Professional and ; R.J. Anderson of Melon Patch TV.

Ms. Word encourages others to get involved by offering support as sponsors and event leaders for the annual event by contacting her or a committee member directly.  There are a host of activities planned thus far on a national scale.  Ms. Word may be reached by email at famsod@gmail.com
