By: Latin Sports At the beginning of the fight when both boxers entered the ring, Juan Estrada was very confident; however Alvarez did not seem intimidated by the Champ. The fight started slowly but things changed by the middle of the second round, when Alvarez received a cut over his right eye which fired him up. This fight soon turned into a high skilled and fast paced event, which set the pace for the rest of the fight. Midway through the boxing match, Estrada was clearly picking the better shots, but Alvarez wasn’t about to go down easily, and he fought back fiercely; however his blows did little if any damage, falling on Estrada’s guard. Although Alvarez had impressive speed and fancy footwork, Estrada’s blows hit the mark and by the ninth round, both of the Phillipino’s eyes were bleeding as Estrada continued to rain blows on his opponent. Both boxers fought hard, but Estrada clearly had the advantage in this important fight. Juan “Gallo” Estrada said, “I knew that Joebert Alvarez has very good speed and he is an impressive boxer, and he lived up to what I expected. We both fought hard, and with God’s grace I was victorious. I worked diligently to prepare for this fight, as I do for all my fights. My training, discipline and preparation paid off and brought a successful outcome. I am grateful to Latin Sports and Mr. Carlos Moncada for the opportunity to continue in my profession. And of course, I always appreciate my family, friends, and fans who have been very supportive!” Carlos Moncada, Latin Sports CEO and Estrada's promoter commented, “This was a great fight to witness because it went all 10 rounds. The fans went wild and it was an exciting fight to watch, as both of these fine young men fought very valiantly. We were confident that Juan “Gallo” Estrada would come out on top, and we are proud of the Champ. Latin Sports looks forward to a bright future with this fine young man.” End
