DC - Only Investment Crowdfunding Forum

WASHINGTON - Dec. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- The DC-Only Equity Crowdfunding Forum will be help on Monday, December 15th from 9:30 to 12 noon at the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center, St. Elizabeth’s East Campus,  2730 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, S.E., Washington, DC

The goal of the forum is to educate District business and nonprofit entities about DISB’s DC-Only Securities Offering Exemption and its implications for DC entities and investors. We will discuss raising capital and managing shareholders.

·         Overview of DISB’s District of Columbia-Only Securities Offering Exemption (Section 250 of Chapter 2 of Title 26, Subtitle B of DCMR), DC-Only Securities Exemption Form DC EO-1, how the rulemaking works, and potential implications for DC business issuers and investors in equity securities as well as nonprofits seeking to raise debt capital;

·         Questions from a panel of respondents about the rulemaking, potential benefits and risks for investors and issuers, rates of return on investments and shareholder relations, and related operational concerns; and

·         Questions from the audience about the rulemaking, process and/or other related issues.
