December 3, 2014: The look of LA announced the details related to the upcoming Christmas concert and fashion show in a small press meet here today. Naomi Alabi, a renowned event planner and children’s right advocate has joined hands with members of Young California and The Look of LA to produce the Christmas concert and fashion show. The event is scheduled to be organized at Rain Night club at 12215 Ventura, Blvd, CA 91604, Studiocity, CA 91604 on December 17, 2014 from 8:30 PM onwards. The funds generated via the event would be donated to Maryvale, a local LA orphanage.

What is notable about Maryvale versus other orphanages is that they take in Children whom the system have given up on and deem unfit for society. Instead of sending these kids off to Juvenile Hall, Maryvale takes in these orphans and assumes the responsibility of rehabilitating them fro their abusive past. Their challenge is help these traumatized kids regain their innocence and find their place back in society. The event will be hosted by DJ Carisma, while the list of other performances is yet to be released. Two of the most popular among LA based entertainment groups – The Look of LA and Members of Young California have collaborated for the event.

When contacted, Naomi said, What do you want for the Christmas? With this event, we aim to raise an amount that LA based orphanage. Maryvale can use to provide best facilities to kids there.” She further added, “For orphans, holiday is a bitter period when they are all reminded that they are alone. We are attempting to simply pacify that wound.”

The tickets of the event can be bought online from lachristmas.splashat.com. While the tickets are priced at $18, one can also donate additional amount for the cause in a multiple of $5. The aim of the organizers is to raise $1500 to $2000 for the organization.
