ROI Corporation President Gary Rayberg attends Mergers & Acquisitions Conference

WEYMOUTH, Mass. - Dec. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- ROI Corporation (www.roibusinessbrokers.com) President Gary Rayberg recently completed additional continuing education studies at a national conference of the M&A Source Association, a division of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the leading association of M&A professionals in the world, held in Austin, TX.

The event, known as the “M&A Source Conference,” focused on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), a specialty within the business brokerage industry. Rayberg used the conference to further his education in this specialized area of business brokerage; while at the conference he completed courses and attended seminars having to do with best practices in the M&A marketplace.

At ROI Corporation, Rayberg’s specific focus within his business over the last 10 years has been the M&A market, specializing in businesses with enterprise value (sales price) between $1 and $25 million. Industries within this segment include, but are not limited to, Manufacturing, Service and Distribution companies.   HVAC, Janitorial, Fire Protection Services , Machine shops, manufacturing of all types and medical related businesses are Rayberg’s areas of specialty.

The M&A Source Fall Conference brought together Private Equity Groups, business intermediaries and business professionals from across the country.  Rayberg said, “This was an important event for us, as we are significantly increasing our presence and brand in the M & A marketplace across the country and meeting one on one with about 50 Private Equity Groups over the course of the event helps us understand what these important buyers are looking for nationally.  This assists us in packaging our clients’ businesses for sale so they have the most appeal to these cash rich acquirers.”

In addition to continuing education through these associations, Gary Rayberg is the immediate Past President and current Board Member of NEBBA, which is one of 18 worldwide chapters of the IBBA. He has also furthered his education through the Institute of Business Appraisers.

Rayberg, a resident of the South Shore as well as the lakes region of NH, brings a strong and diverse business background to his role with ROI Corporation. He has started, managed and sold seven successful service companies since 1979. He brokered his first business in 1983 when he assisted in the sale of a janitorial company to former Red Sox great Rico Petrocelli. . He went on to start and run service companies in the fields of commercial landscaping, janitorial services, office coffee service, Worldwide moving and storage, telemarketing and corporate employee relocation.  He was also one of the initial stockholders in the agent buyout of Bekins Van Lines, a national moving and storage firm. Rayberg has been involved in the negotiation for sale of businesses and/or real estate in over 30 states and several foreign countries. In addition to his role as President of the New England Business Brokers Association in 2012 and 2013, he is a founder and current chairman of the board of the area’s only business MLS type system, the Business Brokers Alliance of New England. He also serves on several non-profit boards and is a past president of his local Rotary Club.
