CHESTER, N.J. - Dec. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- It’s time to get into the holiday spirit as the Chester Baroque Orchestra will present a classic holiday concert at The Hive in Chester on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 7 p.m.  The sixteen member group, directed by Dr. Richard Maximoff of Chester, will perform works by Corelli, Bassani, Manfredini and Boyce.  Special guest soloist is Ms. Mary Daly, Director of Orchestral Music at West Morris Mendham High School in Mendham.   The Hive is located in the Chester Springs (Shop Rite) Shopping Plaza on Route 206 in Chester, NJ.

“The mission of the Baroque Orchestra is to educate, enrich and inspire the community with music of the 17th and 18th centuries,” explains Joan Kiedes, musician and music teacher for The Morris County Arts Workshop (MCAW) of Chester.  “The music is played in true baroque spirit, every note and every line has clarity.  The performers strive to show the audience how much fun the music is, and what a joyful and spiritual experience it is.  The music swings, it grooves, it rocks... it even gigues a.k.a. dances.”
