Fantastic Fiona Celebrates 7 Years!

Dec. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- FIONA Pickering is celebrating seven years with Thermal & Acoustic Solutions Ltd.

She is right at the heart of the Christchurch based company and has worked her way up the ranks.  Soon after joining she was appointed director.

Fiona’s areas of speciality include The Code for Sustainable Homes, providing detailed knowledge and assistance to developers and architects, assisting them to achieve the required level.

Fiona can advise and help prepare clients for their testing for residential and commercial buildings for Air Tightness Levels. Then, handy with the gauge, Thermal’s staff will measure pressure temperature and airflow within buildings to enable them to provide certification of what the levels are. This is extremely useful with projects wishing to achieve Passivhaus standards, which is a standard that many firms are working towards these days.

By using Fiona’s knowledge, a client receives essential advice concerning their project’s SAP calculations.  Fiona has a wealth of experience of advising on energy efficiency and how to ensure that your build will receive the best SAP rating possible.

A comprehensive understanding of Part E of the Building Regulations allows Thermal & Acoustics to carry out and authorise test certifiates for Sound Insulation. Their testers are approved and certified to carry out sound tests, and Fiona can offer advice and recommendations along with the issuing of the results.
