Follow on Google News | Enrollment Season Begins at the Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School for SY 2015-2016A Public Education for Students in Kindergarten Through Grade Eight
In March of 2014, the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and Secondary Education voted unanimously to approve a BFCCPS Charter Amendment request to become a regional charter school thereby opening the school’s enrollment to families in 12 surrounding communities. Siblings of currently enrolled students will continue to have priority enrollment status, however for the first time this year applicants from all 13 communities in the school’s district will have an equal chance at securing a spot for their child through the annual enrollment lottery to be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015. The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School has been in operation since 1995 and will celebrate its twentieth anniversary this spring. The school provides a well-rounded, rigorous academic program designed to educate the whole child providing yearlong courses in art, music, languages, technology, and physical education. The school’s integrated character education (http://bfccps.org/ Enrollment information sessions will be held at the school on January 22nd from 7-9pm and on Saturday, February 7th from 10am to noon. Information sessions will also be held in the community on January 27th at the Bellingham Public Library from 6-8pm and at the Milford Public Library on February 5th from 6-8pm.
