New YouTube Travel Show, SMART TRAVEL, Begins Season 1

NEW YORK - Dec. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- A new travel show has begun on YouTube called SMART TRAVEL. Recent college graduate, Alexander Carter, started the show, SMART TRAVEL after graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in Journalism.

The name, SMART TRAVEL, was created after Alexander came up with a concept for the show. The show was originally supposed to be filmed with a professional video camera, recording equipment and lighting, however, when Alexander found out the cost of all of these items, he realized he would not be able to afford it. So the name SMART TRAVEL was created based on the fact that the entire show is filmed on a smart phone.

Alexander travels to different locations filming everything on a Motorola Droid Turbo smartphone. The Droid Turbo has a 21-megapixel camera and a 1080p video camera that films at 30 frames per second. That’s pretty amazing for a smartphone.

Alexander Carter moved from Chicago, Illinois to Bangkok, Thailand at the age of 7. He and his family remained in Bangkok until he graduated high school at 18. After college, Alexander returned to Bangkok to film the first season of his travel show and to visit friends.

The first season is based in Thailand. During the season, Alexander will travel to locations such as Bangkok, Hua Hin, Krabi Island, Pattaya, Chonburi and more. Alexander one day hopes to work with a smartphone company such as Apple, Motorola or Samsung to travel the world advertising the amazing smartphone cameras the world offers today.

Growing up, some of Alexander’s biggest idols and inspirations were Edward Michael (Bear) Grylls, Gordon Ramsay, Anthony Bourdain, Steve Irwin and Adam Richmond.
