Blair Castle Opens Up Ballroom for Christmas Lunches

BLAIR ATHOLL, Scotland - Dec. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Visitors to Blair Castle are set to experience a Sunday lunch fit for Royalty this December as the historic castle opens its Grand Ballroom to guests seeking an extra special festive treat this winter.

Diners will sit in the opulent surroundings of the Castle’s beautiful Victorian ballroom, warmed by a roaring fire and served delicious food, to get a distinct flavour of what it was like to fine dine in years gone by.

As well as an unforgettable food experience in the spectacular surroundings of the Ballroom, the castle is also offering a flavour of the past by inviting visitors to see the beautiful rooms and swirling staircases as they would have been decorated for the festive season over 100 years ago in the Victorian era.

Located in the picturesque hills at Blair Atholl, Blair Castle is opening the castle and grounds to the public for two weekends in the run up to Christmas on December 13^th, 14^th, 20^th and 21^st. The team at Blair Castle are hoping to see many visitors experiencing the castle at such a magical time of year.

Blair Castle will also be visited by Father Christmas who is making a special stop at this historic venue to welcome children to his grotto as well as showcase his musical skills by playing Christmas jingles on the bagpipes. He’ll also be ensuring that his little visitors get an early Christmas present too.
