PLANO, Texas - Dec. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Plano, TX — December 2, 2014 – Starkey Mortgage (WR Starkey Mortgage, LLP NMLSR #2146) earlier this year, challenged all their employees to a charity challenge. This challenge was for all employees to donate a minimum of 5 hours of time to a charity of their choice by Dec 1, 2014. We are proud to say they have met the challenge!

With great pride and warm hearts, our employees contributed well over 2,878 man hours to the charities in the communities they serve. Some donated time to local food banks or animal shelters, some coached youth sports and many were just extra hands helping the charity fulfill their purpose. Overall, there were 195 organizations touched by our employees. In addition to these man hours, many of our offices also donated over 3,700 canned foods to their local food banks.

“This was the most rewarding result I had the privilege of reporting to our employees,” said Jim Clapp, President/CFO of Starkey Mortgage. “It was far more rewarding than any production number or financial result.”
