Richie’s Burger Urge of Poulsbo Establishes Successful Food-bank Donation Program

POULSBO, Wash. - Dec. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Richie’s Burger Urge, North Kitsap’s premium fast-food hamburger restaurant today announced the successful launch of its new customer-driven food-bank donation program.  This new program collects cash donations that are dedicated to support the North Kitsap Fishline food, emergency, and advocacy services for those in need within the North Kitsap community.

Richie’s has a loyal customer base that has proven through its regular donations that it cares about those in need in the community.  Cash donations collected at Richie’s Burger Urge Poulsbo restaurant are delivered monthly to Fishline’s Food Bank and Emergency Services on NW Liberty Lane in Poulsbo. Those wishing to enjoy a meal and donate to Fishline can visit Richie’s Burger Urge located in the Poulsbo Village Shopping Center.

North Kitsap Fishline opened its doors in 1967 and is the largest food bank in the North Kitsap area, distributing over a million pounds of food every year to over 3000 area families in need.  Fishline also has a thrift shop, Second Season, located on Anderson Parkway in Old Town Poulsbo that supports the work of North Kitsap Fishline through income generated in sales of quality used items.

“We are delighted to have this opportunity to serve those less fortunate in our community and to be able to provide a convenient means for our guests to donate at our restaurant,” says Tyler Lofall, manager of Richie’s Burger Urge in Poulsbo. “Often, people just don’t think about donations and by providing a simple reminder and an easy means to donate at our front counter, we can make charity happen.”
