ST. LOUIS - Dec. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The Battlegrounds, St. Louis’ largest permanent mud run obstacle course, recently named Bob Holm as its new race director.  In this position, Holm will oversee all course operations ranging from adding and enhancing obstacles to ensuring mud runner enrollment and safety.  His responsibilities also include handling corporate sponsorships, as well as promoting team building opportunities for private course rental.  Prior to this position, Holm served as the company’s special event coordinator.

“Bob truly understands the obstacle course racing industry, and we’re thrilled to have him at the helm of our growing organization,” said The Battlegrounds’ owner Carl Bolm.  “He has taken our company to a whole new level in terms of engaging the community through both sponsorships and race participation.”

Located at 950 State Highway 00 in Wright City, Mo., The Battlegrounds offers a five-mile mud run obstacle course that has two races per year held the first Saturdays in May and October.  The Battlegrounds, which features more than 30 military-themed obstacles, is available to corporations for year-round team building opportunities.  The course is located adjacent to Cedar Lake Cellars winery and event venue.
