Riverpoint Management Announces Company Retreat in Mexico

PITTSBURGH, PA – The leaders at Riverpoint Management reported that the company’s highest performers will be attending a retreat in Mexico, and highlighted the benefits of these events.

PITTSBURGH - Dec. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- “Everyone here at Riverpoint Management is really excited about our upcoming opportunity for rest and relaxation,” said Kelly, the firm’s director of operations. “This year’s retreat will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, a lavish resort in Cancun.”

Kelly went on to explain that the function will offer plenty of opportunities for networking as well, and that only the organization’s top leaders are selected to attend. “Everyone at the office is great, but admittance into the retreat is reserved only for those who perform exceptionally well,” she stated. “It is a way of rewarding them for their hard work, and it is a special time for them to interact with and learn from other highly accomplished people.”

Aside from the benefits of rest, relaxation, and networking, Kelly noted that the retreat is the ideal forum for team bonding. When colleagues get together outside of the office setting, they become more familiar with one another and their bonds subsequently strengthen.

Riverpoint Management’s Director Discusses the Impact of Team Social Events

“Team-based social events are incredibly important. The ability of a group of professionals to work together in harmony is essential to the success of any business,” Kelly continued. “Overall, there is a lot to gain from encouraging associates to spend time together outside the office. To maintain our upbeat and empowering culture at Riverpoint Management, for instance, we provide regular opportunities for our marketing experts to socialize outside the office.”

According to Kelly, many of the other benefits associated with team events have to do with interaction, rewards, goals and objectives, and skill building. She also pointed out that attendees interact differently when on retreats – even if they’ve worked together for years. When the pressure of work is removed from their shoulders, they are more likely to open up on personal levels.

Just as the retreat to Mexico functions as a reward for the firm’s top performers, other team events are also excellent ways to recognize personnel. “Leaders may host birthday dinners or congratulatory events when team members reach certain milestones, for instance,” Kelly continued. “Additionally, without the distractions associated with an office setting, everyone is more focused on their common interests. They sharpen their interpersonal and communication skills, which helps them work seamlessly when they are at the office. It’s a win-win all around!”
