Hand Made By J-ADD’s Residents with the Art

TEANECK, N.J. - Dec. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Bear Givers has partnered with J-ADD to present Hand Made, an art exhibit and sale featuring original artwork created by the residents of J-ADD’s Group Homes. The Group Homes are provided to any qualified person with a developmental disability, and have trained staff on call 24 hours a day to assist them with their individualized plans and routines.

The art exhibit is a development of the EmpowerArt program created by Bear Givers, a New York-based organization that provides those in need with opportunities to feel the pride and joy of engaging in acts of kindness and generosity. The EmpowerArt program enables individuals with illnesses or special needs to express their creativity in art shows that benefit the organizations with which they interface regularly.

The art work of J-ADD’s residents will be displayed and sold, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting J-ADD, helping the organization to continue its unique programs and services. Many of the young artists themselves will be in attendance to proudly witness their creative and colorful art pieces being admired and purchased. Refreshments will be served during the exhibit at the Bressman Group Home, Teaneck, New Jersey. Photo opportunities available.
