Florida Solar Contractor - AGT Earns Honorable Mention from Solar Builder Magazine

FT. AGT was recognized for its outstanding craftsmanship installing a 150 kW roof-mounted solar array for JM Family Enterprises headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

The solar array was designed and installed by AGT while keeping in mind the area’s threat for high hurricane wind speeds. During the pre-construction phase, AGT's design team discovered that a post-tension concrete slab was supporting the existing roof system. In order to maintain the structural integrity of the building while satisfying the wind uplift requirements, AGT design team revised all attachment details and utilize fastener and sleeve imbeds specifically designed for use in post-tension applications.

AGT completed the solar panel installation in 30 days without disrupting JM Family's daily operations. Additionally, the solar installation satisfied FM Global approval and South Florida wind codes without jeopardizing the existing roof warranty.
