BOURNEMOUTH, U.K. - Dec. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Holly has a truly admirable story to tell.

When Holly’s step-mother, Clare, started to lose her hair as a result of Cancer treatment, Clare became particularly depressed. This greatly worried and concerned Holly and as such she started to think of things she could do to help her step-mum get through this difficult time. After talking with her sister Elinor, they decided there was one thing they could do which would perhaps help their step-mother and make her feel more comfortable with her own hair loss. And as such, in a show of support and solidarity, Holly and Elinor decided to have their own heads shaved.

Taking their admirable act a step even further, Holly and Elinor donated all their shaved hair to the Little Princess Trust; a charity which provides real-hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland who have also sadly lost their hair through cancer treatment. But the two didn’t stop there, and also used their head shave as a chance to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Although at times Holly felt terrified about shaving her hair which was very long, she retained an overall positive and determined attitude. Knowing that she was aiding her step-mother and two great Cancer Charities, both her and her sister were driven on; to do something which is particularly challenging for any woman. Holly believes that when raising money for charity it is important to do something that is truly challenging, knowing that the people she is raising money for are challenged on a daily basis.

However, Holly also had support in her fundraising efforts from Simone Thomas of Hair Loss Bournemouth.

Holly first met Simone Thomas, a leading Hair Loss expert based in Bournemouth, through her step-mother as, like Holly, Simone has supported Clare through her hair loss.

Being particularly unsatisfied with the wigs shops she had previously been able to find, Clare met Simone Thomas after searching for an alternative solution to her hair loss. With Simone, Clare found something completely different - an actual salon for people with hair loss as opposed to just another shop - and from that point onwards never looked back.

“My step-mum went to loads of wig shops before finding Simone. Simone is totally different from all the other shops around as she truly understands what my step-mum is going through. She is such a lovely person and her hair replacement systems are incredible. Since the first time my step-mum went to see Simone at her salon she has been amazingly supportive. When we told Simone about our idea to help our step-mum and raise money for the charity she was a 100% behind us and has been really helpful.”

Simone supported Holly and Elinor, by shaving their heads herself at the Hairloss Bournemouth Salon free of charge alongside helping with their fundraising efforts. Simone of Hair Loss Bournemouth has said:
