Amazing Pet Expos Celebrates their 95th Pet Expo!

ST. LOUIS - Dec. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- During their second-to-last show for the 2014 year, Amazing Pet Expos was able to celebrate their 95^th consecutive show in Tucson, AZ. Even more special, the Tucson Pet Expo was a first year show, allowing the producers to celebrate so many new shows this year with their new friends in Arizona.

“Ninety-five consecutive shows is such a big accomplishment for us!” says Patti Welch, Vice President of Amazing Expos, “We started as such a small company in 2009, with just an idea to help pet-owners and pet-related businesses. We never thought we’d get so far.”

The first pet expo took place in Saint Louis, the company’s home base, where the owners realized that there were too many pet owners who didn’t have the resources they needed in order to take care of their pet. “We would find out that someone fell into hard times and gave their pet up to a local shelter, when they could have gone to a local Pet Food Bank – which exists in most cities – so that they could keep their pet and still take care of them,” says Welch, “From there, we realized that there needed to be a place where information like this could be distributed.”

Since then, the Pet Expos have expanded to each corner of the United States – from New York to Seattle, from Tampa Bay to Long Beach to Austin, TX. This year, there were 37 Pet Expos across the country from January until December of 2014.

“We’re so glad we got to celebrate at the 2014 Tucson Pet Expo! Getting to do so with so many new friends helped remind us how far we’ve come and how many obstacles we’ve overcome as a company,” says Welch.

The 2014 Tucson Pet Expo was held Saturday, November 22^nd at the Tucson Expo Center. The Pet Expo had over 100 Visitors and 125 pets up for adoption. Attendees were able to enjoy a wide range of animals, including a Walkthrough Aviary with Parakeets, wildlife from the Tucson Wildlife Center, and horse-training demonstrations from the Horse’N Around Rescue Ranch. Attendees also had the chance to meet and take phots with Shorty Rossi and Hercules from Animal Planet’s “Pit Boss.”

“We have so many plans for expansion in the upcoming year, including a couple of new locations!” says Patti Welch. “We hope to see many more attendees and exhibitors in 2015!”
