FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Dec. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- In August of 2014, C&I Studios and Exposed PR teamed up to launch Summer Soundtrack, a 4-week pop up music series featuring local musicians. As a follow up to Summer Soundtrack, the long time friends and strategic partners began planning their next project, which eventually took shape as an all-day festival, aptly titled, For The Love.

The name For The Love represents the co-producers’ motivation to provide creative outlets in downtown Fort Lauderdale. They agree; they do it for the love of music, and for the love of their city. Joshua Miller of C&I Studios explains, “Whether we are using music for inspiration, as a backdrop to the media we create, or giving up and coming bands a platform to showcase their art—music is always, and will always be central to what we do. We are doing this festival for the love of music, and we wanted to align with a band that embodied that message.”

Enter Copeland. Copeland formed in Lakeland, Florida in 2001. The band’s first album, Beneath Medicine Tree, came out in 2003 on indie label The Militia Group. The album’s layered melodies, combined with Marsh’s thoughtful, emotive croon, immediately engaged music fans, offering a nuanced take on the emo music of the early ‘00s. The group unveiled four subsequent albums between 2005 and 2008, including Eat, Sleep, Repeat on Columbia Records in 2006. Copeland signed with Tooth & Nail in 2008 and have partnered with the label to release their long awaited sixth album, Ixora.

With downtown Fort Lauderdale as a backdrop, Joshua Miller and Sara Shake of Exposed PR hope to bring a new experience to locals. Shake says, “We know that we have the resources to build engaging, cultural events in our city, and we also know that the demand for these kind of events in Fort Lauderdale is overwhelming. We’re looking forward to an amazing turnout from locals.

Tickets for For The Love go on sale December 1st, 2014 at 12pm, and retail for $35 for General Admission and $200 for VIP tickets, which includes open bar, preferred seating, and VIP parking. The festival is all ages, and will offer a two-week early bird ticket for $30.

For The Love will take place at C&I Studios, Next Door, and The Garden located in Fort Lauderdale’s FAT Village from 12pm to 11pm on Saturday, February 7th, 2015. In addition to Copeland, For The Love will feature –kids-, Civilian, Jacob Jeffries, Corey James Bost, Fauna Halo, Valise, Michael McArthur, Forlorn Strangers, and more.
