Medical Director Selected for Central Carolina Wound Care & Hyperbarics

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - Dec. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- December 1, 2014 (SANFORD, NC) – Central Carolina Wound Care & Hyperbarics, which offers treatment practices and protocols to reintroduce the body's innate ability to heal, has appointed  Michael Gordon, M.D., F.A.C.S. as medical director.

Dr. Gordon will be responsible for reviewing patient care and results, evaluating new clinical products and providing oversight and guidance on policies and procedures.  A member of the Healogics™ network, the wound care center employs a rigorous scientific approach to explore, test, find and develop the clinically proven methods and technologies that help people heal faster and more completely than before.

A Sanford resident, Dr. Gordon most recently served as a general and vascular surgeon at Central Carolina Hospital.

Dr. Gordon graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.  He completed his surgical internship at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California and his surgical residency at the New England Deaconess Hospital 5^th Harvard Surgical Service in Boston, Massachusetts.  Dr. Gordon is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery; he is also a member of the North Carolina Medical Society and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Central Carolina Wound Care & Hyperbarics will offer leading-edge treatments including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure therapies, bioengineered tissues and biosynthetics.
