The inspiration and namesake for the store began when Jacques’ beautiful caramel-colored mutt, Corrina, was diagnosed with a severe grain allergy which caused her to become lethargic and nearly bald. After many failed attempts with different commercial foods to improve her health, Corrina had a breakthrough after visiting a holistic vet who recommended serving raw human-grade ingredients.

It soon became clear that commercially purchasing chicken wings and ground meat for a 70 lb. dog was not an economic decision.

“From dog parks to veterinary clinics, people’s interest in the knowledge we had acquired through extensive studying and trial-and-error was compelling,” Duplantier said.

After forging relationships with meat distributors at reasonable prices and with time and effort, Corrina’s Formula was born.
