Follow on Google News | Sale of New Artworks by San Diego County Painter to Benefit Redwoods ConservationBy: Art by Cedar Lee The new and ongoing series of paintings is inspired by the forests of Sequoia National Park, which Lee visited in the spring of 2014 to take photographs and gather ideas. New pieces are released each month as Lee creates them in her backyard art studio. Contributions to the Save the Redwoods League go towards purchasing redwoods land, restoring logged forests, studying how to best protect them and teaching children and adults about the 2,000-3,000- “I’ve always been inspired by the giant sequoias,” says Lee. “But finally seeing these majestic trees in person this year made me determined to contribute to their protection for future generations. I decided on a full month of donations! This is a great way to decorate your home with peaceful forest images while also benefiting a great environmental cause.” The oil paintings, some more than four feet across, range in price from $890 to $2,490, and can be viewed at ArtByCedar.com.
